Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have been killing it over at Valentino. Normally I post my favourites, or looks I think really stand out (or speak well for the collection) but it was next to impossible to choose the best of Spring 2015.
If Lady Murasaki is a character in Hannibal season 3 I hope she wears several of the outfits from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2015 collection.
Bless Sarah Burton (and, of course, the late Lee McQueen) for always creating clothes that blur the lines between fantasy and reality.
Vive La Révolution! Today Karl Lagerfeld staged the most stylish protest in history for the Chanel Spring 2015 RTW show. The clothes, a combination of tried-and-true, whimsical, and only-looks-good-on-a-model-and-even-then, weren’t quite that revolutionary but the casting was definitely awesome. Supersmodels (Gisele!), It girls, up-and-comers, plenty of fresh faces, a few seasoned style veterans, and Baptiste Giabiconi. Quite liked the ‘Be Your Own Stylist’ sign at the end. Ah, to be part of the 1%.
Hedi Slimane may have looked to the 70s for inspiration while creating the Saint Laurent Spring 2015 collection, but he’s still largely to blame for the current 90s fashion nostalgia trend.
On another note, I need this leather jacket in my life.
